Staff Selection Commission Multitasking Staff or SSC MTS exam is a non-technical examination conducted by SSC.

The commission releases MTS exam notification annually to conduct recruitment for various non-technical posts. The Selection Commission is yet to start the recruitment process for SSC MTS exam.

SSC MTS Recruitment

SSC MTS Exam is a national level exam held for recruitment of personnel in General Group-C Central Service non-ministerial and non-gazetted posts in various departments, ministries, and offices of the Government of India.

SSC MTS recruitment is organised by the Staff Selection Commission for various posts such as:

SSC MTS Application Form & Registration

Candidates can fill the application form for SSC MTS 2021 exam on the SSC official website. For successful submission of the MTS application form candidates have to go through the below-mentioned steps.

Aspirants who wish to appear for SSC MTS 2021 have to fill the SSC MTS Application form by April 30th 2021, and they have to follow the steps given below to fill the SSC MTS online application form.

SSC MTS Registration

  1. Visit the SSC Official website.
  2. Click on the ‘Notice’ tab and search for Application Form.
  3. Read the instructions carefully before filling the application form.
  4. Provide the necessary details such as Name, Date of Birth, mail ID, Phone number etc. these details are necessary for the completion of the registration process.
  5. A registration Id and Password will be generated and sent to the registered mobile number and mail ID.

SSC MTS Application

  1. With the Registration Id and Password provided, login to the registered account on the official website to complete the application form filling.
  2. Provide the necessary details asked such as Personal and education details.
  3. Upload the education certificates, coloured photograph and signature.
  4. Set up the security question as per your choice.
  5. Move to the payment page to pay the SSC MTS application fee.

  2. Payment of the SSC MTS registration fee can be done both online and offline.
  3. Once the payment is done, a confirmation mail is received on the registered mail ID.

MTS Exam Eligibility

The SSC MTS eligibility criteria are the conditions determined by the SSC; which the candidates are required to fulfill mandatorily to be eligible for the SSC Multi Tasking Staff examination.

Candidates willing to appear for SSC MTS examination 2021 must meet the following eligibility requirements:

SSC MTS eligibility in terms of Nationality

A candidate must be a citizen of India, either/or a subject of Nepal/Bhutan, Tibetan refugee settled in India before January 1, 1962, or any person of Indian origin.

Candidates are required to present the Certificate of Eligibility issued by the Indian Government (if he/she belongs to a country other than India i.e. Nepal, Bhutan, Tibet, Pakistan, Burma, etc.)

SSC MTS Age Limit & Relaxation

Candidates who wish to appear for SSC MTS 2020 exam must be not less than 18 years of age and not more than 25 years of age as on August 1, 2020. i.e.

  • SSC MTS Lower Age limit – 18 years
  • SSC MTS Upper Age Limit – 25 years

However, for candidates belonging to reserved categories such as PwD, SC/ST and OBC categories, there is an upper age limit relaxation being given by the commission.

MTS Exam Pattern

Candidates willing to appear for SSC MTS recruitment exam must be well versed with the latest exam pattern of SSC MTS.

The SSC MTS exam pattern is decided by the commission itself. Any changes in the exam pattern are intimated to candidates through official notice.

The SSC MTS exam is conducted for two papers – SSC MTS Paper I and SSC MTS Paper-II.

SSC MTS Admit Card

The Staff Selection Commission releases the SSC MTS Admit Card one week before the SSC Multi Tasking Staff examination.

The admit card for SSC MTS exam is released region-wise on the SSC regions official websites. Candidates, in order to download the SSC MTS Admit Card, have to log in to their registered account on the official website.

MTS Salary

SSC MTS is a Group C non-gazetted, general Central Government service. It is a non-ministerial post with pay band 1(5200 – 20200) + the Grade Pay of 1800 rupees.

The salary of SSC MTS is revised after the 7th Pay Commission application. Currently, the in-hand salary of SSC Multitasking Staff is approximately 18,000/ to 22,000/ per month.
