About Group-D Exams
Group D Exam is conducted by RRB to recruit eligible candidates for various posts of Grade-IV, in Level 1 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix in various departments of Indian Railways. Candidates who want to realise their dream of working for the prominent Indian Government Sector (Indian Railways) can take the RRB Group D Level 1, RRB NTPC and other railway examinations conducted by the Railway Recruitment Board.
Group-D Exam Eligibility
Candidates willing to apply for the RRB Group D exam are required to fulfil certain conditions to be eligible to appear for the Railway Group D exam.
The conditions for RRB Group D eligibility are decided by the conduction body itself. The eligibility criteria important for candidates to fulfil are prescribed in detail in the RRB Group D official notification.

A candidate is eligible to appear for the RRB Group D exam only if he/she is:
Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (2), (3), (4) and (5) present a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India to the recruiting body.
The Railway Recruitment Board has set the RRB Group D Lower Age limit to 18 years and that of RRB Group D maximum age limit is 33 years. Any candidates beyond the age limit extremes as prescribed by the Railway Board will not be allowed to appear for the examination.
As prescribed in the notification, RRB Group D Age Limit for candidates in the RRB Group D 2022 examination is to be reckoned from 1st July 2019.
Candidates appearing for RRB Group D 2022 examination must have their date of birth between 1st July 2019 and the dates given in the table below.
Note* – Candidates should fill the same date of birth in the application form as recorded in the Matriculation/ Class 10th certificate or an equivalent certificate because no subsequent request for changing the date of birth will be considered.
The candidates belonging to reserved categories are entitled to certain relaxation on the RRB Group D Age Limit criteria.

The minimum qualification mandatory for candidates to possess for the RRB Group D exam is set by the Railway Recruitment Board.
The minimum education qualification that the board expects from candidates in order to be eligible for the RRB Group D examination is 10th pass (OR) ITI from institutions recognised by NCVT/SCVT (or) equivalent (OR) National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.

Stage- 1: RRB Group D CBT (Computer Based Examination)

After the PET test, RRB Group D results are announced. Marks scored by candidates in CBT are normalised and then the results for RRB Group D will be made available online in PDF format displaying the qualifying candidates.
Stage- 3: RRB Group D Document Verification
Candidates will be called for document verification based on their CBT performance and subject to their PET qualification.
Stage- 4: RRB Group D Medical Examination
Candidates have to appear for the medical examination round after the verification of documents. The final letter of appointment is issued to candidates who are found medically fit.
The RRB Group D exam dates are announced with the release of the RRB Group D notification. The exam dates for RRB Group D are decided by the Railway Recruitment Board itself. The Railway Recruitment Board (RRBs) has announced the date of the RRB Group D exam for 2022, which will take place on June 30. The RRB Group D Exam 2022 will now be held from August 17th, 2022, in multiple shifts, according to the officials. There won’t be a second stage of the CBT for the CEN RRC, according to RRB’s notification (Level-1).
