About DRDO Exam

DRDO is conducted by the Centre for Personnel Talent Management(CEPTAM) of DRDO. CEPTAM is assigned with the drawing of new members of Practical, Executive & union of non-gazetted personnel, evaluation of DRTC Officers & Staff, and smooth coaching for developing of these cadres as per the coaching policy of DRDO. DRDO comes under the Ministry of Defense. This organization is focused on research and development and is fully owned by the Government of India. Beginning with, the exam is organized one time in a year.

DRDO Exam Eligibility Criteria 2023

Candidates who want to apply for this exam DRDO(CEPTAM) have to fulfill this eligibility criterion. To qualify for this exam or else if eligibility is not fulfilled, a candidate will not get a chance to appear in this exam. Anyhow, the application fees will not be refunded. Education Qualification: The candidate should oughta graduation level in any discipline from an approved organization. Nationality: A candidate must be an Indian citizen to applying for DRDO CEPTAM Examination and should be living in any Indian State. Age Limit: The eligibility for applying and qualifying for this exam, age should be between 18-25 years. This age limit should be strictly followed.

  • Stages:  A total of two phases which are level 1 and level 2.
  • Mode of Exam: Online mode (Computer-based test).
  • Time Duration:  1 hour 30 minutes.

  • Total Marks: 100 marks

  • Segments: The level 1 examination has a total of 3 segments: General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability, General Awareness, and Quantitative Aptitude & Numerical Ability. Also, the Tier 2 examination has 3 parts: General Science,
  • General Math, and
  • General English.
  • Language: Hindi and English both
  • Section Time Limit: No Section time limit.
  • Marking Scheme: For every correct response, receive 1 mark and there will be no negative marking for the wrong response/ unanswered questions.
  • Marks Distribution: In 2 periods of the DRDO CEPTAM MTS test, Marks will be awarded as per the detail shown in the table underneath:

DRDO CEPTAM Pattern 2021 for A&A Position Level 1 Examination:

  1. Mode of Exam: online mode (Computer-based test).
  2. Time Duration:  2 hours.
  3. Total Questions:150 questions
  4. Total Marks: 100 marks
  5. Type of Questions: Multiple choice objective type
  6. Papers: The question paper for Secretary Grade-II (English Typing), Administrative Assistant ‘A’ (Hindi Typing), Store Assistant ‘A’ (English Typing) and body Assistant ‘A’ (Hindi Typing), Administrative body ‘A’ (English Typing), contains problems from Calculation based on Aptitude, Basic brainy knowledge & Reasoning Ability, General Science, School maths & Numerical Ability, Basic English and Hindi or English Language.
  7. Segments: A total of 3 segments and each segment of the A&A Level 1 exam has a total of 50 questions.
  8. Language: Hindi and English both
  9. Section Time Limit: No section time limit.
  10. Marking pattern: For every correct answer, candidates will get one mark and there will be no negative marking for the wrong answer/ unanswered queries.
  11. Qualifying Marks: The minimum qualifying marks for A&A tier 1 is four hundredths for UR/OBC/EWS candidates whereas the candidates belonging to the SC/ST class have to be compelled to secure a minimum of thirty-fifth marks.

A&A Post Level 2 Exam Pattern:

Centre for Personnel Talent Management (CEPTAM) of DRDO organized level a pair of communicating for all positions offered in the A&A category. DRDO Salary

Posts Pay Scale
Senior Technical Assistant ‘B’ (STAGE B)  Level 6 candidates will be paid as per the 7th CPC pay matrix and also they wgets alternative advantages. (Approximately a candidate will get 50,000 per month within school ‘X” cities).
Technician ‘A’ Level 2 candidates will be paid as per the7th CPC pay matrix and also they gets alternative advantages. (Approximately a candidate will get 28,000 per month within school ‘X” cities)
A&A Every post – Payment at level two (Rs 19900-63200)typist Grade-2 – Payment at level 4 (Rs 25500 -81100) as per the seventh CPC Payment model
MTS On the other hand, the elite candidates get remuneration within the Pay Matrix who is at Level-1 (Rs 18,000 – 56,900) as per the seventh CPC Pay Matrix and additionally gets alternative benefits/allowances as per the govt. rules.
