Paper I – Compulsory for all candidates

Section I: Mathematical Abilities & Reasoning

• Same topics as Tier 1 but with higher difficulty

• Questions are more concept-based and time-consuming

Section II: English Language & Comprehension

• Advanced Grammar Rules

• Vocabulary Enhancement

• Cloze Test, RC, Para Jumbles (complex level)

• Sentence Arrangement

• Phrasal Verbs

• Error Correction (Advanced Level)

Section III: General Awareness + Computer Proficiency

• Current Affairs (6–12 months)

• Static GK (same as Tier 1)

• Computer Knowledge Module:

  • Basics of Computers

  • MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Internet & Email

  • Input/Output Devices

  • Operating Systems

  • Keyboard Shortcuts

DEST (Typing Test):

• 2000 key depressions in 15 minutes (qualifying only)

Paper II – For JSO (Junior Statistical Officer)

• Statistics:

  • Collection, Classification and Presentation of Data

  • Measures of Central Tendency and Dispersion

  • Probability Theory

  • Random Variable and Probability Distributions

  • Correlation and Regression

  • Time Series Analysis

  • Index Numbers

Paper III – For AAO (Assistant Audit Officer)

• Finance & Accounting:

  • Financial Accounting Principles

  • Basics of Accounting, Ledger, Journal Entries

  • Depreciation Accounting

  • Budget, Types of Budget

• Economics & Governance:

  • Basic Economics (GDP, Inflation, Demand-Supply)

  • Indian Economy

  • Economic Reforms since 1991

  • Government Budgeting

  • Fiscal Policy, Monetary Policy

  • Role of RBI, Tax Structure

Note:

• Tier 1 is qualifying in nature but highly competitive.

• Tier 2 marks are considered for final merit.
